Are you ready to take on a new venture?
Do you have a passion for community development?
Are you a working or retired professional with skills in Marketing, Community Fundraising, Strategic Development or Membership Development?
If you have answered YES to all of the above Disability Action in Islington would love to hear from you.
Disability Action in Islington (DAII) is a vibrant local disability rights organisation run by and for Deaf and disabled people in the London Borough of Islington. Since its inception in 1996 it has been an influential voice, working with its members and service users on empowering them to lead independent, active and integrated lives where choice and control are firmly in their grasp. We ensure that the views and experiences of Deaf and disabled people in the borough are included in the design, planning, implementation and review of local services.
To support the next stage of our development we are seeking to appoint new Trustees with the above set of skills.
As a member of the Management Committee you will help to shape DAII services and strategies for developing keys services. You will act as the DAII ambassador representing disabled people and their rights; your passion for community development will bring commitment that will proactively contribute to the development of our marketing, fundraising, strategic and membership development.
Please contact us for more information and an application pack.
The Housing Disability Panel is also recruiting new members. If you are an Islington Council tenant, and would like to contribute to the work of the panel, please get in touch. Click on this link to find out more about what the panel does.
