The Disability Action in Islington team consists of staff and volunteers as well as student and trainee advisors. New clients will have an initial appointment with a member of our administrative team to register with us, followed by an appointment with the appropriate advice team member(s).
Please note that we are a training organisation, and any client appointment may be shadowed by one of our learners.
Lateness and Missed Appointment Policy
If you are unable to keep your appointment, or no longer require it, please make every effort to reschedule or cancel it well in advance so that it may be offered to someone else. Non-attendance and cancellations at short notice without a valid reason deprive other clients of opportunities to access services.
If you are more the fifteen minutes late for your appointment without contacting us to let us know, then your advisor may not be able to see you and you will have to reschedule for a later date. At busy times the next available slot may not be until several weeks later.
The first time a client fails to attend an appointment without letting us know we will give them the opportunity to reschedule. If they miss another appointment, we may not allow them to book any further appointments with us.
