Islington Disability Network
The Islington Disability Network (IDN) is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and hosted by Disability Action in Islington. The IDN exists to bring disabled people together in order to:
- Share information and support
- Raise awareness of local disabled peoples needs
- Campaign for disability equality (e.g. better access to services and opportunities)
- Learn and share new skills and experiences
Membership of IDN is open to disabled people who live, work or study in Islington, and disabled peoples groups and organisations.
Everything we do is led by our members
The Network offers:
- Monthly workshops, speakers and events (on the third Tuesday of every month)
- Campaigns, arts and media projects
- Speaking up at consultations and meetings
- Training on your rights, the social model of disability, and speaking up
- A quarterly newsletter and regular email bulletins on events, opportunities and news
For upcoming IDN meetings and events, please see our News Section.
You can take part as little or as often as you like!
If you have any questions about the project or would like to join the IDN, please contact:
