Islington Disability Network
This is a project that brings disabled people together to share information and support, raise disability issues at a strategic level in the Borough and campaign for better services and opportunities.
The project was set up in 2004 with funding from Health Action Zone. This funding has now ended and DAII is currently applying to the Big Lottery Fund for money to continue and develop the project.
A group of IDN members are currently working with DAII to ensure the network continues while we secure further funding. This includes producing a regular IDN News Update for members, organising social events and representing the IDN on a variety of local consultation and decision-making forums.
