Every Tuesday and Wednesday, there are drop-in sessions for people preferring to speak with someone in person. No appointment is necessary, simply turn up.

The drop-in service provides an opportunity to obtain a range of disability related leaflets from local and national organisations. We also specialise in linking you in and sign-posting you to Statutory, Voluntary or other organisations.

Drop-ins take place at the Disability Action in Islingtons office on:

Tuesdays, 10.00am-12.00pm
Wednesdays, 2.00pm-4.00pm

Please note that if a drop-in session is very busy, we may have to ask you to come back or offer you a fixed appointment at another time. You are advised to arrive early to make sure you are seen.

The Springboard personal advisor project

Funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund, this project provides support to local disabled people wanting to access new leisure, community, training or learning opportunities.  The project provides disabled people with a personal advisor who, working in partnership with the disabled person, can offer a range of information, advice and practical support enabling the disabled individual to make informed choices and take the first difficult steps to starting a new leisure, community, training or learning activity.

The project also offers a specialist disabled young peoples support worker who can provide one to one advice and practical support to young disabled people between the ages of 14 and 21 wanting to access new leisure, community, training or learning opportunities in Islington.
