Drop-in service
If you would prefer to speak with someone in person, we run drop-in sessions at our accessible office at the following times:
- Tuesdays 10am - 12pm
- Wednesdays 2pm - 4pm
We can see people for around 20 minutes to offer basic advice and information or make a referral to another part of our service or another organisation.
Please note we do not give welfare benefits advice but we can make an appointment at the CAB or another advice agency if you need it. Click here for more details.
Please note that if a drop-in session is very busy, we may have to ask you to come back or offer you a fixed appointment at another time. You are advised to arrive early to make sure you are seen.
Form-Filling Service
We can help with first claims, renewals or change of circumstance reviews for DLA and AA. Contact us to discuss.
Casework Appointments
When you contact the information line or come to a drop in session we might decide that you need more in depth support we will then offer you an appointment with an adviser to take your case forward. We can also link you with other services who offer debt, benefits and legal advice.
Advocacy Appointments
We have a limited number of appointments eachweek for disabled people who need assistance to represent their views on complex and longer term community care/independent living issues. Please contact us to find out more.
Personal Advisor
If you would like someone to work with you over an agreed number of sessions, for example to access training, volunteering or employment, we can give you a personal advisor who will support you to:
- Think through what you want to do
- Look at your choices and make a plan
- Find out where you can go
- Support you to access new or existing services
- Identify ways for you to meet longer term goals
Contact the information line or come along to a drop in session to find out more.
