Debt Advice for D/deaf and disabled people
BSL Interpreters Available.
Disability Action in Islington is hosting a debt advice service specifically for D/deaf and disabled people or parents/carers of disabled children living in Islington.
The service is provided by the Citizens Advice Bureau Financial Inclusion Fund and is currently available 2 days a month by appointment.
The service can:
- Make sure you are receiving the correct benefits
- Help with budgeting and prioritising debt
- Explain the action that creditors can take
- Negotiate with creditors and set up affordable payment arrangements
If you have a debt problem, large or small, or are in arrears with bills, please contact us to make an appointment. (Note: as the service is currently only running 2 days a month, it may take a couple of weeks for you to be seen.)
