Summer Beekeeping Courses 2010

Highbury Builders are once more holding their popular "Introduction to Beekeeping" short courses over the next couple of months at their customised apiary near Finsbury Park. There is now a greater awareness of how important honey bees are to the health of our environment but a declining number of people with the skills to take care of these very important creatures. So why not come along and learn the basics of what beekeeping is all about - you will get to handle live bees and it may inspire you to become a beekeeper yourself.

The course costs £40 per person and places are limited so its first come, first served! If you are interested in booking one of these dates then email your name and what date you would like to attend to: info@highburybuilders.co.uk and we will get back to you.

Please note you pay cash on the day of attendance and we will only run a course with a minimum of four people. We shall also run an extra course on the same day if demand is exceptionally high.

DATES:
Saturday, July 31st  11-1pm
Sunday, August 15th  11-1pm
Saturday, August 21st 11-1pm
Saturday, August 28th  11-1pm
Saturday, September 4th 11-1pm

For those who attend the short course and are interested in becoming full time beekeepers or would like to learn a lot more about the craft, there will be an opportunity to sign up to our follow-on full time course which is unique in following the beekeeper's calendar in six sessions over three seasons.
