Training and Consultancy Services

DAII presentationDAII's Training and Consultancy Service has a clear vision of our role and purpose: to provide services that enable organisations and businesses to meet their legislative responsibilities and to increase the accessibility of their services to disabled people.

Since its creation in 2002 we have gone from strength to strength, expanding our range of services and projects and establishing a proven track record of delivery across the South East of England.

We employ a large team of experienced, external consultants and trainers to deliver its services.  We actively engage with a wider network of 80 local disabled people which ensures all our recommendations and guidance are informed by their knowledge and experience.  This unique approach sets us apart from our competitors and helps us give our clients solutions that really make a difference.

Our Ethos

We take a practical, outcome focused approach to disability access and inclusion which focuses on removing the barriers that disadvantage disabled people.  This approach, called the social model of disability, sits in opposition to the view that disabled people themselves are the problem (often referred to as the medical model of disability).

What we offer:

Disability Equality Training

Our popular and continuously updated courses give participants an opportunity to understand various issues and legislative concerns surrounding disability and feel comfortable and confident in their interactions with disabled people.  All of our training is provided on a bespoke basis so that it suits the needs of the client, the type of organisation and the training participants.

Access Auditing Services

Access Audits are tools to enable you to find out the current level of accessibility, to disabled people of your buildings, websites, written material, goods and services.  Our access audits help clients work towards meeting the requirements and recommendations of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995/2005, British Standard 8300 and Building Regulations Part M.

Consultancy Services

We provide a range of bespoke consultancy services that enable clients to make the operational and strategic improvements they need to comply with current legislative and governance frameworks and increase the accessibility of their services to disabled customers, service users and employees.
