User registration to the DAII 'Have Your Say' forum.
To use the forum you are asked provide an email address and password. Your email address and password is used to identify you each time you use the forum. Your email address will be stored on a secure server. DAII does not have access to the stored email addresses or passwords on the secure server and will not use this information for any purpose other than the one stated above.
You can also request that your email address and password address is removed from the forum by emailing us.
Cookies on the DAII 'Have Your Say' forum:
Cookies are small text files stored on a visitors computers by websites for record keeping purposes.
The DAII website does not store persistent cookies on your computer. Instead of setting a permanent cookie, it sets something called a temporary session variable. This is how the web site knows you are logged in to the 'Have Your Say' forum. It associates your email address and username to the browsing session. You can choose to turn cookies off in the security settings of your browser. If you do this then it is likely you will need to enter your email address and password every time they want to post a message on the forum. The temporary session variable is used to improve the functionality of the website, not to compromise personal privacy.

The main website sets anonymous session variables when users change the visual style of the page using the dropdown box. If users turn off cookies then the style selector dropdown box will not work.
